Restoration of Chiva also includes making a Chiva complete with Pinnacle

Chiva Chaitya Organization restoring number of Chivas at Shrigha making them complete with pinnacle(Gaju).

Chiva in itself carries philosophy and thus each part depicts some meaning. The Pinnacle is the top most part of the Chiva.

चिभा यागु हरेक भागं थ थ गु महत्व क्यना च्वंगु दु। छुं नं भाग स्यना च्वन वा मदया च्वंगु दसा व पु वंका चिभा यात पुर्ण याय मागु नं तसकं महत्वपुर्ण जु।

The pinnacle or Gaju consists of many parts depicting multiple things. The parts are named as Harmika, Chhatrawali, Varsasthali, Griva and Ushnish. A Chiva without pinnacle is not complete in their aesthetics and meanings. Therefore if pinnacle is missing in a Chiva, should be our intention to make it right and protect our heritage. Restoration of Chiva also includes making a Chiva complete with Pinnacle.

चिभा यागु गजु नं अथेहे महत्वपुर्णगु भाग ख। गजु छगुलि नं हर्मिका, छत्रावलि, बर्षास्थाली, ग्रीवा व उष्निष भाग तया पुर्ण यानातगु दई।

In Shrigha also known as Shantighat Mahavihar there are many Chiva and many centuries old but in many of them Pinnacle is missing. Chiva Chaitya Organization intends to carry out the restoration of these Chiva(12 Chivas at Shrigha) to make them complete with pinnacle. This will be another milestone in the organizations many faceted work in promotion and restoration of these heritage of the Kathmandu valley.

यें देया नघले च्वंगु श्रिघः अथवा शान्तिघत महाविहारे यक्व पुलांगु व बांलागु चिभा चैत्य त दु। अन तसकं बांलागु थाय जुया च्वंगु दु। अनु दुगु चिभा मध्य १२ग ति चिभाले गजु त्वधुया च्वंगु दु। अथे जुगुलिं झिसं व चिभा फुक्कलि गजु मदुगु चिभालय गजु तया पुवंकेगु जुगु दु।

Pinnacle is one of the most vulnerable part of the Chiva. Do not hurt it - Do not hang your things like helmet on it. गजु चिभा या बमलागु भाग मध्य छगु ख। अथे जुगुलिं उकि हेल्मेट ईत्यदी थें जागु बस्तु घाना दिई मते।
