Chiva Chaitya - Respect, Promote, Protect

Another four Chiva got their Gaju installed. Because Gaju is one the parts of a Chiva which carries lots of meaning and the Chiva is not complete without it and many Chivas are with missing Gaju due to various reason including vandalism. Because of this reason, Chiva Chaitya Organization started a "movement to install Gaju in 100 Chivas", where Gaju is missing. Now four more Chivas got their Gaju.    There were two Chiva at Lakha tirtha with missing Gaju, while Gaju of one Chiva had fallen and strewn elsewhere. All three Gaju are installed making the Chivas complete. Similarly, a Chiva at Chaga(Rukmani Galli) was with missing Gaju also got a new Gaju making it complete. We would like to thank Arbin dai from Lakha Tirtha for coordinating the works and making our work easy. Thus in total 5 Chiva was complete under this 100 Gaju movement. Chiva Chaitya Organization took the initiative and with the help of community, specially Rojin Sthapit and Mrs Rukmini Shrestha from Chhauni restored an at risk Chiva at Bindyo Twa. As per the custom a puja(worshipping the Chiva) was performed with the Guruju, budhhist priest, Rajendra Bajracharya. Sidhhi Ratna Shakya dai from Chiva Chaitya Organization played the role of the Thakuli (eldest among present) and performed the puja. Sthapit family members along with Mrs Rukmini Shrestha was present for the puja ceremony. Chiva was beautified anointing with oil and flowers and everybody present was blessed.
