Chivas at KangaAjima premises in Kathmandu fitted with Gaju- pinnacle KangaAjima premises in ward-19 of Kathmandu is a beautiful place at the banks of Bishnumati river. Apart from KangaAjima temple there are many different kinds of Chivas in the premises making it very beautiful place. But due to various reasons six of the Chivas were without Gaju.  Chiva Chaitya Organization continues to restore Chivas. Here one more Chiva, where parts were missing and Gaju also missing, restored. One of the Chiva at Chinakamuga-Kami Nani in Kathmandu, one layer of the Chiva- base of the dome was damaged and also Gaju was missing, has been restored. With the community, intervention needed was decided, necessary parts were made, and restoration was carried out. Puja before restoration Hello, is the level OK? Chiva at Makhan was without Gaju, Gaju, the top most pinnacle part was broken/lost. After request from local resident, Chiva Chaitya Organization fitted the Gaju and made the Chiva complete again. It is to be noted that it takes skilled stone carvers to carve the essential carvings on the Gaju, They need to have the knowledge about symbols and also their positioning. We want to thank local residents Suresh Tamrakar Dai and ChandraBir Tuladhar Dai for support. We continue to work. A Chiva at Kaminani(Chikamuga) got restored. We continue to restore and attend the unattended heritage.   Gaju or pinnacle of a Chiva carry lots of symbolism. The lowest part Harmika (cube shaped) contains eyes and key (looking like nose) - door to the wisdom, Toran - with symbol of each of Pancha Buddha (concept of five Buddhas, four depicted on Chiva), The thirteen circles depicting the perfection one need to attain enlightenment. Then at the top Usnish Chudamani - Buddha himself. Thus a Chiva missing with a Gaju is missing lots of deep meaning.
