Restoration of Historic Yenga Hiti Begins in Kathmandu Chiva Chaitya Organization (CCO) in cooperation with Yenga Club has begun the restoration of Yenga Hiti , one of Kathmandu’s significant and traditional stone spouts, under its ongoing two-year initiative for water heritage conservation. Works of Chiva Chaitya Organization (CCO) on Hiti restoration works is supported by the World Monuments Fund and the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation , along with other international partners. Located in the heart of the city, Yenga Hiti holds historical and cultural importance as a centuries-old water source that once served the surrounding community. Unlike many single-spout systems, Yenga Hiti features three-spout arrangement , a reflection of its former hydraulic richness and possibly its service to a large or symbolically significant population.
