Chiva at Dhokatwa restoration completed by Chiva Chaitya Organization

ढोकात्वा यें-१९ सं च्वंगु चिभा या ल्ह्वनेगु ज्या जुगु दु।

Chiva was damaged and many parts were missing and idols(4 of them) were missing probably stolen.

चिभा तसकं स्यना च्वंगु व गुलिखे भाग त मदया च्वंगु अबस्था जुया च्वंगु जुल। द्यो पिं नं मदया च्वंगु जुल।

The whole process of restoration passed through major 4 stages: preparation, making missing parts, dismantling and restoration. चिभा ल्ह्वनेगु ज्या तयारी, मदुगु भाग दयकेगु, लिकायगु व पुनर्निर्माण या चरण त पार याना ल्ह्वनेगु ज्या जुई।

Preparation works: The site visit is done and many rounds of meeting with community, descendants of the establishers, preparing measured drawing of the Chiva, arrangement of finances and arranging required materials are all part of the preparation phase. Architect prepare measured drawings for reference. Photographs from all sides and parts are taken. मु ज्या न्ह्याकेन्ह्यो फोतो कायगु, त्वाले च्वंपिं लिसे सहलह यायगु, आर्किटेक्टं नक्सा दयकेगु ज्या जुई।

(Community Engagement through heritage conservation is one of our key goal)

Making  missing parts: Many parts maybe missing or damaged so much that the part will need to be replaced. This process is started. ल्वंकमि तयसं मदुगा भाग दयकेगु ज्या न्ह्याकिई।

Dismantling:  Each part is marked so that after dismantling the the parts can be identified. फुक्क भाग यात नम्बर तया लिपा यात थ थगु थासे तयगु लागि याई। चिभा लिकाय बले त्वा बाले च्वंपिं सकल च्वना यायगु ज्या जुई।

Restoration and completion: Lime mortar(using lime, surki, sand) is prepared and carefully rebuilt. चुन सुर्कि तया छसि कथं क्चण निसें दनेगु ज्या जुई। फुक्कं भाग पुलांगु हे तया मदुगु बाग जक हाकनं दयका तयगु ज्या जुई।
