Chiva restored at Bhindyo Twa

Chiva at a roadside at BhindyoTwa, ward 20, Kathmandu is restored.



A Chiva raised, make us believe that we can, that there is hope, that there is positive energy. 

Condition before restorations: almost one third part of the Chiva was buried in three layers of road asphalts. Middle part is missing. Top most dome and Gaju is missing. Totally in damaged state. Needed major restorations.


Coordination activities and discussion with communities, officials and family of the establisher.

We would like to thank all the stake holders, who have participated and made this restoration a success. Special thanks goes to Rajin Sthapit, who tirelessly contributed during the whole restoration process. Similarly Ward 20 officials, chief Rajan Manandhar, Ishwor Khadgi, Aprila Sthapit and WMF deserve our sincere gratitude.

And above all special thanks to Mrs Rukumani Shrestha from Kichando Marg, Chhauni who has agreed to support in full the cost of restoration in the name of her late husband Prem Lal Shrestha.

We, Chiva Chaitya Organization believe that everybody in the valley will continue to respect and promote these heritage and organization will be happy to be part of the restoration efforts.
