Spreading Nepal's Newa Chiva Heritage to the world

Chiva Chaitya Organization(CCO) will summarize conclusions of the colloquium and provide for use by anybody interested in establishing a Chiva. CCO believes that output of this colloquium will directly and indirectly help in preservation and promotion of Nepal's heritage to the world. 

नेपा यागु सम्पदा चिभा चैत्य यागु प्रबर्धन यायत ज्या याना वया च्वंगु संस्था 'चिभा चैत्य' या आयोजनाय सम्बत ११४२ तछलागा द्वादशी शनिवार कुन्हु काठमाण्डौ गेष्ट हाउस, थंबहि सं 'नेवाः चिभा प्राज्ञिक गोष्ठि - Newa Chiva Colloquium' यागु ख।

Chiva Chiatya Organization(CCO), working for promotion of Nepalese heritage Chivas, organized 'Newa Chiva Colloquium' on June 25, 2022 at Kathmandu Guest House, Thamel(Thanbahi).

थ्व गोष्ठि या मु आजु धैगु नेपा या नेवा चिभा सम्पदा यात बिश्व न्यंकं थ्यंकेत सहज गथे याना जुई धैगु बारे सहलह यायगु ख। संस्थाया अध्यक्ष प्रबोध कसा नं धया दि कथं बेदेशे नं यक्ंव नेपामि त च्वना च्वंगु व ईमि थगु थासे चिभा तय ईच्छा दसां थन दयका ढुवानी खर्च नापं प्रक्रिया या कारणं सकस्यां चिभा तय मफया च्वंगु अबस्था दूगु खं कना दिल। अथे जुगुलिं चिभा धालकि दयहे मागु भाग त छु ख, चिभा धैगु ब्वयगु सामान जक मखुसे बौध्द दर्शन नं दूगुलिं मागु भाग व पुजा बिधि बारे बिदेशे नं चिभा तयत अपुईगु बारे बिचा याना सहलह यायमागु खं न्ह्यथना दिल।

The main agenda of the colloquium was to find ways to spread Nepalese heritage chiva all around the world. As Prabodh Kasaa, president of CCO, put in opening remarks about need for the colloquium: “There are many people of Nepalese origin living abroad and willing to spread Nepalese heritage and culture by establishing a Chiva at their premises, but it has been difficult due to making costs, transportation costs and other ritual complications. Thus, we need to discuss on mandatory parts of a Chiva to make it complete both aesthetically as well as filled with Buddhist philosophy”.

The colloquium was participated by various Buddhist scholars, priests, representatives of organizations, stone carvers and heritage architects total by giving their opinion and facts on the matter.

थ्व गोष्ठि सं बौध्द बिदुषि सुमति बज्राचार्यजुं " नेपा या सम्पदा चिवा चैत्य यात हलिमे थ्यंकेत सहज यायगु उपाय" धागु कार्यपत्र प्रस्तुत याना बिज्यागु ख। थ्वहे प्रस्तुतिकरण या आधारे गुरुपिं, लों कमि, आर्किटेक्ट नापं मेपिं सहभागि तयसं बिदेशे तय फईगु चिभा गजागु जुईमा धका थथगु बिचा प्वंका दिईगु ख। गोष्ठि भाजु राजेन मानन्धर जुं न्ह्याका दिईगु ख।

Buddhist scholar Sumati Bajracharya presented paper “Ways to spread Nepalese Newa Chiva Heritage to the world”. The participants provided their opinion about the parts, design and other intangible things associated with the Chiva based on the paper presented. The colloquium was moderated by Rajen Manandhar.

थ्व गोष्ठि तसकं उपलब्ध मुलक जूगु व बेदेशे चिभा तय अपूई कथंया बिचार मन्थन व निष्कर्ष पिहां वगु आधारेहे भविष्य चिभा चैत्य संस्था चिभा यागु प्रचार प्रसार यायगु धका चिभा चैत्य संस्थाया सल्लाहकार दूज पुर्णमान तुलाधरं धया दिल। थुकिं याना बिदेशे चिभा तयगु ईच्छा दुपिनिगु हौसला अप्वया वनिगु व अप्रतक्ष रुपं नेपाया सम्पदा या प्रचार प्रसार नापं संरक्षणे नं ग्वाहालि जुई धका धया दिल। अथेह सुभाय न्वचु बिईगु झ्वःले ल्यु नायो भाजु प्रविण मान तुलाधरजुं प्रेरणा व मार्गदर्शन याना दिईगुलिं भाजु कर्ण शाक्य जु यात नं सुभाय देछाना दिल।

During the closing remarks, Purna Man Tuladhar from CCO stated that CCO will promote the Chivas abroad based on the opinion and conclusions of the colloquium. He also said that after this colloquium, residents from abroad will be encouraged to establish a Chiva and thus will indirectly help to promotion and protection of heritage of Nepal. Vice president of CCO Prabin Man Shakya gave special thanks to Mr Karna Shakya for his motivation and guidance.
