"The Hiti System of Kathmandu Valley holds paramount importance as a traditional water supply network that has been sustaining the valley's inhabitants for centuries. These ancient stone spouts, known as hitis, have not only provided a reliable source of clean water for daily needs but also played a significant role in shaping the cultural and social fabric of the region. Preserving and maintaining this unique system is vital not only for its historical significance but also for ensuring the continued access to water for future generations, as it reflects the valley's rich heritage and the ingenuity of its ancestors in managing water resources."

We would like to thank Hanmandhoka Durbar Kshetra Karyakram, Kathmandu Municipality for providing the necessary space at Basantapur. Special appreciation goes to WMF(World Monuments Fund) for supporting us to conduct this event.
