Chiva maintained at Ombaha

 A chiva at Ombaha was maintained by CCO.

Orientation was corrected, cemented joints were removed and lime mortar used.





CCO team thanks ward 23, Kathmandu Municipality and community leaders for taking the initiative to maintain all the Chivas in the ward.

Capturing Heritage: CCO talks about importance of documentation in heritage preservation

Chiva Chaitya Organization(CCO) had the chance to speak at Himalayan College of Engineering at Lalitpur. CCO highlighted the importance of documentation in heritage preservation and shared experiences. The work being done by students of Department of Architecture in documentation of heritage at Lalitpur(Guita, Bhinchhen Baha etc) under the Conservation Studio is a very commendable job and will have profound impact on heritage preservation.  On the day, it was our privilege to hear from Padma Sundar Joshi Sir about the details of the Hiti system.
