Two Chivas at Chivakhyo restored with Gaju Chivakhyo lies near the bank of river Bishnumati. The place is named ChivaKhyo which literally means large ground with Chiva. Yes, you already must have assumed, there is a large Chiva at the middle of the ground and many beautiful Chivas in the area. Two of the Chivas at ChivaKhyo was with missing Gajus, broken somehow. And without Gaju, the Chivas were not looking good and felt incomplete as put by the Prem dai there. Chivas at KangaAjima premises in Kathmandu fitted with Gaju- pinnacle KangaAjima premises in ward-19 of Kathmandu is a beautiful place at the banks of Bishnumati river. Apart from KangaAjima temple there are many different kinds of Chivas in the premises making it very beautiful place. But due to various reasons six of the Chivas were without Gaju.  Chiva Chaitya Organization continues to restore Chivas. Here one more Chiva, where parts were missing and Gaju also missing, restored. One of the Chiva at Chinakamuga-Kami Nani in Kathmandu, one layer of the Chiva- base of the dome was damaged and also Gaju was missing, has been restored. With the community, intervention needed was decided, necessary parts were made, and restoration was carried out. Puja before restoration Hello, is the level OK? Chiva at Makhan was without Gaju, Gaju, the top most pinnacle part was broken/lost. After request from local resident, Chiva Chaitya Organization fitted the Gaju and made the Chiva complete again. It is to be noted that it takes skilled stone carvers to carve the essential carvings on the Gaju, They need to have the knowledge about symbols and also their positioning. We want to thank local residents Suresh Tamrakar Dai and ChandraBir Tuladhar Dai for support. We continue to work. A Chiva at Kaminani(Chikamuga) got restored. We continue to restore and attend the unattended heritage.   Gaju or pinnacle of a Chiva carry lots of symbolism. The lowest part Harmika (cube shaped) contains eyes and key (looking like nose) - door to the wisdom, Toran - with symbol of each of Pancha Buddha (concept of five Buddhas, four depicted on Chiva), The thirteen circles depicting the perfection one need to attain enlightenment. Then at the top Usnish Chudamani - Buddha himself. Thus a Chiva missing with a Gaju is missing lots of deep meaning. Today Sept27,2022, IIC (International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works) announced winner and runner ups of the prestigious Keck Awards. And works of Chiva Chaitya Organization won the runner up title for 2022. We thank all our supporters who helped us to do our works. We want to thank all our voters. As part of the awareness interview given at local FM stattion in Nepal- Radio Upatyaka Episode # 284 of Udaya Saa Present age is age of communication and FM Radio are the most effective and popular means of commutation. Considering the  importance of FM Radio NPC is running  a community Radio on 87.6 Mhz called Radio Upatyaka with the permission of Nepal Government, Ministry of information communication, since FY 063/64. It is first community radio registered in Kathmandu District. Here you can listen to the opinion of the speaker about the importance of heritage preservation specially Chivas of Kathmandu Valley. Chiva dislocated and kind of orphaned during road expansion proudly stands at it's original location at Bagbazar. It was our great privilege to have been able to support this initiative providing with Crane and engaging with our very skilled stone carver and Chiva installer Santa Dai. The skillful crane driver and the crane helped to safely transport the Chiva of about 600KG from the Anamnagar location to the Bagbazar original site. And skills of Santa Dai helped to properly instll the Chiva at Site. Kudos and we must thank the efforts of Rajan Khadgi Dai and Yadaav Lal Kayastha Dai for their tireless efforts in heritage conservations.
